2 Bedroom Basement

A damp basement was turned into a $2,5K per month rental two-bedroom apartment. 
The scope of the project included pulling down the whole basement walls to the concrete foundation, fixing all cracks, and waterproofing. Installing new windows and insulation materials from the walls to the ceiling to maintain a balanced heat in the winter and a cool temperature in the summer. The addition of robust resilient channels in the ceiling and sound proof insulation greatly reduces vibration noise from above occupants.
As part of the makeover, two (2) room divisions were created, as well as a new kitchen and bathroom.

Additionally, a white stone entertainment centre provided refinement to the look and feel of the space, as did multiple recess lighting and a smart dimmer control to keep the space bright at all times of day.
